Imagine a place where youth move from a negative peer culture to a positive peer culture thus positively influencing their life and our community. At a Pocket Full of Hope, we provide a risk free environment to explore problem resolution and change. In this organization youth are given the opportunity to empower themselves in a non-threatening, participatory and inclusive atmosphere using music, theatre and dance.

Our Service Learning Program
In this meaningful place, the youth also learn to see themselves as participants in this society. They are able to put their knowledge and ideas into practice by helping to solve real community problems along side other community members.

A Pocket Full Of Hope recently celebrated a significant achievements. The organization won 1st place for their original movie "Life is a Struggle". It was chosen the "Best Movie for Youth" at the 2013 Bare Bones International Film Festival. The film provides useful life lessons to viewers through an avenue that is entertaining, informative and thought provoking. Dr. Lester Shaw Founder & Executive Director of the organization, believes that 'when young people see the movie, they will recognize the negative pressures that seek to prevent achievement". The movie is now on DVD and can be purchased at A Pocket Full Of Hope's book store at HopeVille Mansion located at 1325
